SAFE

The video could be categorized as an instructional video on safety and/or a documentary video. By showing the process of linocut printing, step by step, the video makes a connection with the current situations, positions, and feelings of the individual in the society in which he/she takes part.

This transition from instructional to documentary is made by the use of personal audio recordings purposely collaged over the video to negate the bubble-wrap-protected meaning of the very word ‘safe’. Near the video stands the result of this process, the print itself.
