PART : US

Part: Us – after the concept’s name, is a progressive continuation of the parent concept called Us.

These works clearly form a whole, which can be read in two ways on a development path from recognizable nudes-diptychs to their dispersions ie merging into unrecognizable forms and shapes, to become objects, even stripping to their symbol’s translation through the word “us” as a metamor- phosis from one visual reading to another of the same idea.

The inexhaustible theme of the relationship between human nature with its social constitution is displayed through juxtaposition and duality in the materialization of the concept. The visual approach to the problem of the individual-society, man-woman, human-nature-social norm is interpreted in layers, in parts, gradually removing redundant information in order to provide insight into the uniqueness of existence.

So, we have collage diptychs, showing a dynamic mix of contrasts in both color and material used, as well as in the relation of the depicted in two parts. From those on, we come to their adjustment to non-figurative representation with the words “us” and “you” on the collaged canvases. These pairs of visuals on canvas, further, are trying to separate themselves from the two-dimensionality of presenting the idea, eventually transforming into an abstract object, which combines the contrast of the fellowship.

The translucent paper, in turn, determines the affinity of the essence of the two poles. It conceals but also reveals layers of human relationships, revealing/concealing a part of us.
