I’M HOME

I’m Home is a concept is predicted to be open to change, modification, and upgrading. Thus it alters itself to reconfirm itself. It is more of a process than a representation of a situation. It is composed of more interlocked units like video, object, collage, drawing, and graphics.

It tests the problem of the traditional relationship between subject and words by suggesting new meanings through playing with the structure of language and writing, and the mere presence or the existence of painting and drawing. Specifically, the work is analyzing and presenting a visually embodied recording of human nature through the structure of language and script, or the structure of society and visualization that in many ways are determined by the structure of the language itself.

On one hand, I’m Home speaks on a theme that is both universal and sitespecific. It explores the human social role and influence, needs, and goals. Like this, it emphasizes and stresses the separation, helplessness, and destruction which are both the cause and the product of the social system from which man requires protection. On the other hand, the concept explores and doubts the credibility and reliability of memory, the errors in it that can occur, and the altering and/or repressing. Subject to such intervention, the memory shapes the identity of the individual. The identity in the quest for itself transforms that world that is a part of us, to easier face the world around us.

Together with the two, combine drawing and letter, image, and language.

Hence the transparency, subtlety, and suggestiveness, this way the reality and the artwork perform an overlay of realities. The artist’s reality exists only in the presence of light which gives an imprint of shadow on the surface on which it is installed. In this way, the strength of the author’s statement is uncertain.
